Our Beautiful villages in Dordogne near the campsite
Visit our beautiful and pictoresque Périgord villages.
The Commune of the Vezere Valley is composed of 12 villages and the town of Montignac. (Aproximately 3000 inhabitants) with magnificent architecture.
These charming villages contribute to the wealth of the Périgord.
Note that St LEON SUR VEZERE and recently St Amand de COLY are classified as ” amongst the most beautiful villages of France”.
In the course of your walks, you will be able to see bories. They are small round houses built in stones and lozes.
It is also worth visiting the villages along the Dordogne, such as Domme, Beynac and La Roque Gageac which offer fabulous photo opportunities.
A folder containing descriptions of each of these 12 villages is offered free at the campsite and at the Montignac tourist office.
